1. The service and provider

Shiftzilla is operated by 2842192 Alberta Ltd., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. These terms govern use of our website and restaurant workplace apps. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If your organization has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement governs its service arrangements where the terms conflict. Simply reading this page does not create an organization subscription.

2. Accounts and workplace access

Use your own authorized account, keep sign-in credentials secure, and provide accurate information. Your organization controls workplace invitations, memberships, and access levels. An editable job title does not grant permissions. Do not share accounts or try to enter a workspace or record you are not authorized to access.

You must be legally able to use the service. Organizations are responsible for required notices and permissions for their workforce, including young workers, and for promptly removing access when appropriate.

3. Acceptable use and content

You and your organization retain your rights in the information you provide. You authorize us to process and display it as needed to deliver the service, following the privacy notice. Only submit content you have the right to use and share.

Do not post illegal, threatening, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, harassing, or abusive material; expose another person's private information without authority; impersonate someone; upload malware; interfere with service security; or infringe intellectual-property rights. Do not use the service for unsolicited advertising or an unlawful employment practice.

Use available reporting and blocking controls for abusive messages. Contact support@shiftzilla.ca if a reporting control is unavailable or you need help. We may investigate reports, restrict access, or remove violating content. Security testing requires prior written authorization and an agreed scope.

4. Organization responsibilities

Your organization is responsible for its workplace decisions, records, access assignments, lawful use of employee and applicant information, and rights to uploaded materials. Review schedules, payroll inputs, recommendations, and other consequential records before relying on them. Shiftzilla does not replace employment, payroll, legal, or safety advice and is not an emergency service.

Features depend on the organization's configuration, assigned permissions, device support, and enabled providers. Do not use a feature to obtain information or authority you otherwise lack.

5. Commercial arrangements

Organization service arrangements are agreed separately. Users invited to a workspace access the service under their organization's arrangement. The mobile apps do not offer in-app purchasing. We will not charge an organization a new subscription fee merely because someone downloads an app or reads these terms. Any fees, renewal, cancellation, or service commitments must be described in the applicable organization agreement.

6. Third-party services and availability

Authentication, hosting, notifications, and optional connected services depend on external providers. Their terms can apply to your use of their services. Review requested access before connecting an account and disconnect it when no longer needed.

We maintain and update Shiftzilla, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every feature works on every device. Contact support about errors; do not assume a failed or interrupted action was saved. We may change features or suspend access to address security, misuse, legal obligations, or the end of an organization's service arrangement.

7. Ending access and requesting deletion

You can stop using the app at any time. Uninstalling or losing workplace access does not automatically delete server-side records. Use My Hub → Profile → Delete account or the account-deletion page to request deletion. We verify ownership, review shared and legally retained records, and explain the request's outcome. A sole workspace owner may need to arrange an ownership transfer or workspace closure.

8. Legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude. The service and any agreed remedies remain subject to applicable law and any separate organization agreement. Alberta law applies to these terms, without removing mandatory protections available to you in your jurisdiction.

9. Changes and contact

We publish updated terms with an effective date and provide any notice required for material changes. For questions about these terms or the service, contact 2842192 Alberta Ltd. at support@shiftzilla.ca. Privacy questions go to privacy@shiftzilla.ca, and security reports to security@shiftzilla.ca.
